Creature Feature - Sea Foam Green

Happy Saturday!

Last weekend, my husband and I had a little day date and were able to stop into one of our favorite antique shops. Big shocker, I found another creature to bring home with me and join the others. We also found some amazing decanters - I will share those in a future post.

I was pretty excited when I stumbled across this sweet little duck, especially when I saw the color, my favorite shade of blue green that reminds me of our home’s 1929 sea foam green fixtures in the original bathroom. Then, as I looked at it closer, I realized it was an antique Bauer Pottery piece. Needless to say it was a steal, so I snatched it up.

I love bringing a piece into our home of the same era - Bauer Pottery moved it’s operations to Southern California in the early 1900’s, and began to expand it’s colors and lines to work with the ‘California bungalow aesthetic’. From what I can tell, this is a little Bauer matte green feeding duck figurine, aka treasure, and I am happy to give him a home.

Stay tuned for my next find, and happy hunting!
