Irresistible Ikat
Isn't it funny how fabric or one piece of decor can totally transform a space, or set you off in a new direction in your design?
This is what this beautiful gray toned Ikat fabric has done for our living room. First, I must say that I am drawn to Ikat the way a cat is drawn to catnip. Lucky for me, Ikat is everywhere right now, and in every imaginable color combination.
We recently purchased a new sofa from Pottery Barn, which, I might add, has been life changing for our family. While I feel so silly thinking that a new couch could be life changing, when it comes to being comfortable in your own home, there is nothing more important. Your home should always be your refuge, and you should surround yourself in comfort, along with the things, and people -of course- that you love.
When searching for new cushions to place atop our new gray couch, I was unsure of the direction I wanted to go - would I go for bright colors, perhaps chevron, or maybe a fun pattern, or would I go more neutral? Well, the answer came when I spotted these lovelies in the Pottery Barn show room. I purchased two, and have since paired them with white linen, and white and silver Moroccan tile cushions. This room is still a work in progress, but we are on our way, beginning with a functional piece and layering with irresistible Ikat! I will continue to share more photos as our living room moves through this tranquil transformation of becoming our family sanctuary.
