Wine Wednesday - #WW
Welcome to Wine Wednesay. #WW What better way to finish up hump day, then to have a great bottle of wine with your special someone. I have a fun find to share with you today.
I am always on the hunt for new wines, and while I always love trying something different, I get pretty excited when I am in a wine shop and see one of my all time favorite producers. I first tried Vietti Barolo Castiglione while dining at one of mine and my husband's favorite restaurants, Via Maestra 42, a quaint little spot that has the most amazing Italian food. They have a great selection of Italian wines, which I have grown to love.
I purchased this wine at Carpenteria Wine Co., Jane will help you pick out a great wine from her amazing selection, and her wines are priced very resonably, I know this will be a new haunt for me.
By the way, don't you just love the amaing artwork on the label - all of the Vietti labels have amazing artwork, you can browse through all their beautiful labels here. This wine is young for a Barolo, but was drinking beautifullly. It retails for around $40 per bottle, but well worth it. I would suggest opening it at least an hour prior to drinking and decant if you wish, otherwise pop, pour, and enjoy!
